Preparing Cremated Remains for Your Crystal Remembrance

We understand this step requires great care. Follow these simple, legally compliant steps to safely and securely send the small portion of cremated remains needed for your Crystal Remembrance sculpture.

1. Measure the Required Amount

  • Small Amount Needed: For any piece in the Crystal Remembrance line, we require only one level tablespoon of cremated remains (approximately 7 - 9 grams).

  • For Multiple Pieces: If you ordered more than one item, please measure out one level tablespoon, which will be enough for 5 - 7 memorials.

  • Rest Assured: Any unused material will be respectfully returned to you with your finished Crystal Remembrance product.

2. Select the Right Container

  • Primary Container: Place the measured remains into a small, sealable plastic bag (i.e., a Ziplock bag).

    • Crucially: Squeeze out all excess air and securely seal the bag.

  • Secondary Container: Place the sealed plastic bag into an envelope.

3. Labeling and Identification (Mandatory)

This is the most important step for accurate processing:

  • Inside the Package: Place a piece of paper inside the package with the following information:

    • Your Full Name

    • Your Order Number (found in your confirmation email)

    • The Name of the Deceased (or pet)

  • External Labeling (Optional but Recommended): For your peace of mind, you may label the internal container with the name of the deceased.

4. Shipping: Must Use USPS

By U.S. federal law, cremated remains may only be shipped via the United States Postal Service (USPS). You cannot use FedEx, UPS, or other carriers.

  • Place Shipping Label: Place the label you have received from Taglio Studios on the envelope containing the remains.

  • Visit a Post Office: You must take your sealed package to a physical USPS Post Office location.

  • Tracking: We recommend using Priority Mail Express or Priority Mail for tracking and security.

5. Send to Taglio Studios

The premade shipping label will have your package sent to Taglio Studios at the following address:

Once we receive your package, we will send you an email confirmation and begin the creation of your unique Crystal Remembrance.
